Fixed some bugs caused by flash. Yeah, I swear, not my fault! Turns out that running perfectly good ActionScript 2 code form within ActionScript 3 causes all kind of strange incompatibilities. I had to update all the code to ActionScript 3, which took forever, but I'm happy it's done.

For big displays, the background takes too much memory and is quite slow, so I rewrote it in ActionScript 3 (Flash 9). Anyways, no change should be visible to users of Flash player 8, but those with Flash player 9 or above will benefit from the updated version.

Extensive changes... but not much visible difference! I tried to copy faithfully the background, previously done by yours truly in Photoshop, this time all calculated dynamically! The background is now resizable as much as I want it to be (enough to fit my 30") and has some new subtle effects too. Definitely not worth writing 20 new classes for but it was quite fun. Site now requires Flash 8.0 (ok for 98.5% of you, according to Adobe. In a couple of months I'll be able to update to Flash 9...

Some upcoming galleries will now show with a "coming soon / à venir" label. This way I'll be able to add some galleries as soon as they're finished, like the Indochina sections from my trip last year will should start appearing really soon. I calculated that processing my pictures takes me an average of 15 minutes per image. Well, that's for the ones in Trips; the other sections take usually longer...

Major changes to the site...
  • Version 2 enables navigation with the back (and forward) buttons. This is why I now require at least Flash 8.
  • The whole hierarchy has changed with two new sections: 'Art' and 'Development'. Most galleries that used to be on the main level are now in 'Photo'.
  • Because of a oversight in my code, previously visited galleries will show as 'new'. I won't do it again, I promise!
  • RSS (Atom) syndication now provides an easy way to know when changes are made. Sorry, Atom doesn't support multi-lingual entries...
